Which side?

Driver Side – your shower awning mounts on the driver side

Passenger Side – your shower awning mounts on the passenger side

Both versions swing toward the rear as standard, but you can also install them to swing toward the front. For a forward-swinging setup, order the opposite side swinging toward the rear. For instance, a driver-side swing to the rear would swing toward the front on the passenger side.

Need more room around your shower? The T2 swings your shower awning 90° out from your vehicle, so the enclosure has room to hang freely instead of crowding your truck or blocking access to doors and gear.

Sets up fast: a gas strut (the same one used in our hinge kits) helps it swing open, and a plunger pin locks it in place for travel.
No sag: a fully boxed rear beam and a full-length 3/8" stainless steel hinge pin keep it solid when it's open. It's the strongest shower arm out there.

How it mounts

The T2 mounts between your rack and your shower awning using 2× standard awning mounts, the same mounts that came with your awning. It works with most compact shower and privacy awnings that use a rectangular or square mounting track.

Will this fit my rack?

It mounts to 2× standard awning mounts, so it works with most roof racks, rooftop tent crossbars and bed racks that take a standard awning mount. For TRUKD T Series and A Series racks, a 3rd crossbar option is coming soon. Contact us for mounting recommendations in the meantime.

Which shower awnings does it work with?

Most compact shower or privacy awnings with a rectangular or square mounting track. Check your awning's mounting specs, or contact us and we'll confirm the fit.

Can I mount it on either side?

Yes. Choose Driver Side or Passenger Side when you order, based on where your shower awning mounts. Both versions swing toward the rear.

What's the weight limit?

It supports up to 50 lbs of dynamic load, which covers most shower and privacy awnings on the market.

How does it install?

Attach the mounts that came with your awning to your rack, bolt the swing-out to those mounts, then attach your awning to the swing-out. No drilling is needed for most installs.

How far does it swing out?

It swings 90° out from the rack, giving most shower enclosures enough clearance to hang freely without hitting the truck bed or side panels.

Can I use it with a DIY shower curtain?

Yes. It works well for a custom privacy curtain or a simple shower screen instead of a branded awning.
